Hamer Gift Economy
Credit flows through gifting, not buying and selling.

Credit flows through gifting, not buying and selling.
Universal Community Credit recognizes that every person has worth and something to contribute.
HAMER is meant to move. Idle credit gently returns to the community pool.
Imagine a world where money works like a potluck dinner. Everyone brings what they can, everyone takes what they need, and somehow there is enough.
HAMER is a love letter to human connection written in code. It helps us remember the rituals of care and compassion.
Join the circleHAMER works when care keeps moving. Someone offers what they can. Someone receives what they need. The circle stays alive.
Offer a meal, a ride, a repair, time, or credit.
Ask plainly for help and be met without shame.
Keep credit moving through the community.
Every member receives the same daily UCC. Each week, HAMER asks members to pass some forward to a real person, group, or community project.
The weekly gift is not a fee and it is not a way to earn more. It is the ritual that keeps HAMER alive.
Choose a person, several people, a group, a project, or split the gift between them.
It shows one weekly amount. If you have much more than enough, that amount can gently grow with the extra.
Your protected balance is safe. Surplus that sits still can slowly return to community care through DeMarouge.
Instant. Free. Human. HAMER should make it easier to offer help, receive help, and keep care moving.
How HAMER works
HAMER is meant to feel simple. Open a wallet, save your recovery words, receive your daily community credit, and keep care moving through real gifts to people and projects.
Each member can claim 250 HAMER each day. It is the same amount for everyone. It is not a rank, a reward, or a score.
Each week, HAMER asks you to gift 175 HAMER to a real person, group, or project. The point is the act of care, not earning more.
The first 4,500 HAMER in your wallet is protected. HAMER should never punish someone for receiving help.
DeMarouge is the gentle backstop. If surplus above the protected balance sits still, some of that surplus can return to community care over time.
Your wallet belongs to you. Save your recovery words somewhere private. They are how you get back in if this browser or device is lost.
A HAMER Card helps someone gift to you. A claim link lets someone receive HAMER from a code. If they do not have a wallet yet, they should be guided to create one first.
Questions people actually ask
No. You need a wallet, recovery words saved safely, and a willingness to give and receive with care.
It may be waiting to be received, the network may be busy, or the wallet may need you to try again. The wallet should tell you the next plain step.
The Community Fund is the pool that supports daily UCC and community care. HAMER should show the fund clearly so people can see what is available.
The network was created with one septillion HAMER. The wallet and website should show supply and Community Fund numbers in a readable way, not as a wall of digits.
Use your recovery words, or Easy Recovery if you turned it on. HAMER cannot honestly help you recover a wallet if every recovery path is lost.
You can still view your wallet. Wait a moment and try again. A normal user should not have to choose servers or diagnose technical systems.
You do not need to understand cryptocurrency to use HAMER. You do not need wealth to participate.
